This film project by Romain Alary and Antoine Levi is part of an experimental visual project called Stenop.es. The premise of which is that the artists through the use of a primitive pinhole camera technique, are able to project an image of the outside world onto the walls of a completely darkened out apartment. This technique known as the ‘Camera Obscura‘, typically uses a light-proof box with a small hole cut in it. The difference with this project being that the entire room has been turned into a Camera Obscura, resulting in inverted projections of building reflections overlaid over a beautiful heritage canvas.
