Brooklyn-based designer Victor Vetterlein introduces a new stacking chair called X-Federation. An impossibly thin, gravity defying profile is achieved using a combination of materials and a clever leg arrangement.

X-Federation is made of laminated wood combined with carbon fiber fabric – a material strengthening technique used in boat building and further developed by the skateboard industry. In addition, the front legs are perpendicular to the rear legs to increase lateral stability. The design includes a thin steel frame under the seat where the legs are mechanically fastened. An optional arm rest is available that attaches to the back and sides of the chair. The Elite Class edition comes with a solid brass armrest and leg sleeves.

Holy Toledo. Did someone say solid brass? Please excuse me while I wipe drool off my face. I hereby officially declare X-Federation the sexiest stacking chair EVER!
