French street artist JR and Chinese expert camouflagioligist (is that a word?) Liu Bolin recently collaborated on this amazing temporary art project in New York City. JR assembled a large-scale mural of Bolin and pasted it on a large brick wall in Manhattan’s Nolita neighbourhood. After the paste-up was completed, Bolin took over to create one of his signature camouflages by giving his collaborator a chameleon treatment by painting him into the scene. Engaging mind bending goodness at it’s best. Yes! On another note, I always get super excited when I see two incredible minds coming together to create something which is beyond their own abilities and sensibilities. Unfortunately this type of practice is not seen often enough in the design world, and I always wonder why…
