Good morning/day/evening dearest yellowtrace readers! I’m super excited to share with you this year’s sexy shortlist for Australian Interior Design Awards, which was announced last Wednesday evening. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick of the week than by celebrating Australian Design excellence. Yet again, the competition was fierce and there are some absolutely spectacular projects on the very long shortlist (seriously, why call it a SHORT list when there are 38 projects in one category alone. Am I missing something?)There is no question that Residential Design was once again the competition’s strongest category. Australian architects and interior designers have a real knack for crafting exceptionally beautiful and liveable homes. (Typing this makes me feel like I may have said exactly the same thing last year… just checking… ummm, yes I did. At least I’m consistent!)The gala presentation of the 2012 Awards will take place at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf in Sydney on Friday April 27th (you can purchase your tickets here). As per usual, below is a selection of 2o12 projects that caught my design eagle-eye. You can see all the complete list by clicking here. Congratulations to all designers who’s projects were shortlisted in this year’s awards. Incrediballs* effort! (*French for “incredible”.) Reply Lauren March 20, 2012 Courtyard House should definately win because it’s AMAZING and my friend Andy designed, documented and managed the whole thing by herself. Just one lady did all of this! She is very clever!
