I am not really sure how to introduce the work of Japanese architect Ryuji Nakamura. ‘Extreme love’ is a bit thin. ‘Genius’ doesn’t quite cut it. ‘Mesmerising’ gets us close, but doesn’t really do it justice.

There are very few people in this world who truly transcend disciplines and genres, who can practice at the intersection of art, architecture and interiors as effortlessly and naturally as Mr Nakamura does. His work is poetic, inspiring, visionary and simply breathtaking. It is a masterful representation of what can be achieved using refined forms, simple objects and repetition. His work is so much more than that, except words fail me right now… Perhaps I will think of something more interesting to say a bit later… I feel that my descriptions are a bit thin and pale in comparison to this glorious and inspiring work.

So… I shall let this work speak on my behalf.

Go on work… Speak now… or forever hold your peace.

This is so pure and architectural its making me want to listen to a choir . May I recommend listening to Bach’s ” “In Dulce Jubilo” for some musical purity of the season! ( preferably The Choir of Kings College).

Congratulations on bringing one year of yellowtrace to us all …..thank you
