Once again we reach the day when it’s time to pack up for the year, take a bow (and a little break), and also thank you – my wonderful readers – for your amazing support during 2011. Not only has this site grown so much this year, I feel like I have done a lot of growing (up) myself, especially having taken that scary and exciting Leap of Faith back in June… Wowee! 2011 has been such an amazing ride for yellowtrace and for me personally. And how about you – was it a good year for you too? Do share, I’d really love to know.

Before I sign off, I wanted to tell you about what’s happening in the next few weeks and also share some news. For those of you who will be online during the next two weeks, I have prepared a special series of 2011 posts which will run daily until December 30th, starting from Monday. Similar to last year, I will be sharing a collection of my favourite and most popular posts in their respective categories, giving you a chance to dig through the archives and reflect back on the year that’s been.

But wait, there’s more! I am currently working on a little site redesign with my amazing brother, which means that in 2012 we will relaunch with a NEW LOOK!! Ohmigod mate – how excitement! yellowtrace blog has grown a lot since it’s humble beginnings, and my current set up just isn’t coping with various demands, and I am super excited about this next chapter in the ongoing evolution of this site. The new site will be launched on Monday, 23rd January 2012, when I will resume with regular posting.

And just in case you thought that was all… Well, it kind of is. Except… There’s just one more personal thing I wanted to share with you. I already touched on the growth of this site and my personal and professional growth this year. There’s also been another little growth happening in parallel to all this. I am talking about my belly and a new little life growing inside of me. Yes, my dears, I am 5 months pregnant!! Can you believe it? I know, neither can I! Husband and I are just too excited for words, both our families are absolutely beside themselves (first grandchild on both sides, so you know – grandparents to be are going slightly mental). I simply cannot explain how happy I feel and how the whole world already feels different. It’s pure magic… Anyway, at first I was quite hesitant to broadcast it (I mean, I haven’t even put it up on my Facebook status – I know, how cagey of me man!) but then I decided that y’all need to know dammit! So there, that’s my big news. Pretty cool, huh?

On that note, I wish you Extremely Happy Holidays and I hope that 2012 brings you every bit of Awesomeness you desire and deserve. Let’s smash it out of the ballpark, ok?! And don’t forget to dream and set goals. As always, I look forward to hearing about and sharing in your success.

With love,

Mama yellowtrace x

How exciting for you and your family!
I’m suprised you have restrained yourself from yellowtrace becoming ‘preggerstrace’! As it does become completely engrossing and fills your head 24/7!
Thanks for the first rate blogging and I look forward to next year to see how you could possibly improve on it!
Happy hoildays (last as a couple – next one as a family! x)

Congratulations! I reckon the first few months of being a parent are a big shock and a huge learning curve, but overall it is an easier and happier journey than I’d expected at least. Good luck!

    Dear Dana,
You are a bright spark in the sea of our largely dreary and disillusioned designed industry. Your energy, enthusiasm and passion are infectious so thank you for feeding us a perfectly curated daily dose of great design and inspiration. Congratulations on yellowtrace and congratulations on your new baby. Judging from this blog, you are going to be a wonderful mum.
