Peter Crawley is a UK based illustrator who has developed a distinctive style using thread woven through pierced paper. A product designer by day, he creates images of architecture, typography and abstract geometric patterns. Once he has chosen the subject, Peter sketches by hand and Adobe Illustrator vector files to work up templates and guides. Thick watercolour paper is then pierced by hand with a pin, and finally stitched with cotton thread.

Peter’s work has recently exploded all over the internet, and with it brought a number of impressive commissions such as Wallpaper* Handmade commission in Milan earlier this year, and a series of works for world famous luxury department store Liberty.

I am quite simply in love with Peter’s painstakingly accurate, crisp and minimalist creations which only reveal their delicate intricacy upon close inspection.

Extreme love. Yup. That’s right.

By the way, no post on Monday cause it’s a pubic holiday here. Ummm… I mean PUBLIC holiday. Sorry, those damn typos. Hahaha!

These are great. A little like UK textile artist Debbie Smyth’s work. The more the merrier though!

    Wow…

I think “Architectural Reflections” is my favourite. I love how the buildings look like they have taken root.

The crisp, clean design is just breathtaking. I am in awe of people that have that level of skill and patience!
