Hello… Are you ready for our third photography assignment? This week Husband was learning about The Colour of Light. This assignment builds on last week’s lesson which was all about the introduction to Light. And if you’ve just joined us, first week’s assignment about Composition is right here.

Husband had to pick one {1} or two {2} of the following four {4} choices – Golden Hour, Night Light, Coloured Light and Colour Temperature. He chose to shoot Golden Hour {first and last hour of sunlight in a day} and Night Light. The subject needed to be a series of portraits, or a series of city/ urban landscapes. He also had to experiment with ambient light and a flash at slow shutter speeds.

So no silly props this week I’m afraid. Shame, cause we’ve still got quite a few of those around the house – the bicycle and the chicken aren’t the only ones! And I didn’t go assisting this week either, so no iPhone shots this time. Only the good stuff.

I reckon Husband got some beauties this week. What do you think?

wow!! what gorgeous images!! and what a lovely idea for a series of posts! I am new to the world of photography myself (well sorta) and this will really encourage me to do things in a more structured way, as opposed to just pointing and shooting!

Congrats on the design for mankind feature! truly deserving, your blog is just divine!!

    xx
