Handmade porcelain by Samantha Robinson {left image}, and super cool limited edition Bitossi dolls designed by Ginevra Bocini. I want one so, so bad! Beautiful Bitossi ceramics {top right and bottom two images}. I can’t for the life of me remember who does the lamp in the top left image – if you know, do tell! More eye candy from HUB Sydney showroom. I really like Braille Wall Flats wall panelling by inhabit {left image}. Would you look at these rugs {also shown on wall in top left image}. I DIE! More about them later. Photography artwork in top right image is by Trevor Mein. More Bitossi ceramics from Rimini Blu range, and beautiful cast glass BOCCI pendants on the right. I’ve been working on this seriously large project since the beginning of 2009. It is by far the biggest, the most complex and the most prestigious interior I’ve ever been involved in, not to mention that I’ve had the privilege of being a lead designer the entire time. Needless to say that with this responsibility come daily challenges of varying intricacies and complexities. And some days are just plain fun – like last Tuesday. That was the day I headed out to HUB furniture on the hunt for some good stuff.HUB showroom is seriously beautiful and full to the brim with stunning furniture and homewares. Clearly my dodgy iPhone photos don’t do it justice, but at least you’ll get the general idea of some of the things I saw. While I was there, I spotted theses incredible GAN rugs called Manga, designed by Patricia Urquiola. How a-ma-zing are they!? I seriously want one for my house. Do you reckon I should just do it? Or maybe one of you is feeling particularly generous today and would like to give me the gift of Manga rug? No…? Why not? Ok, I’ll stop being silly now… Seriously, I just think that they are to die for.I particularly like the one below – maybe because it would suit my place better then the other ones. And it looks like a little beanie!Below are a few of my favourite {scanned} images from Moroso’s latest STANZE catalogue. Just in case you didn’t get enough eye candy in this post. I love the way Moroso shoot and combine their products in these catalogues. The end result is always so bright, cheerful with loads of personality. It’s impossible not to feel happy when you look at these images. And for the record, this is what I call FURNITURE P0RN. I love the Tropicalia chair on the right, designed byPatricia Urquiola. Rugs are limited-edition old carpets with a twist called Carpet Reloaded by Gorlan. Beauty-Full! Here I particularly like The Fool On The Hill {gold, green and black seats}, designed by Luka Nichetto. This ceramic outdoor seating also looks great as side tables. I also really like Charpoy daybed {top left}, designed by Doshi Levien. Rugs as above. I like the Sushi Collection, designed by Dutch designer Edward van Vilet, because it’s happy, playful and super fun. Although I’m not notmally a fan of Spring armchair by Ron Arad, I really like it here in bright green next to the nanna print Ukiyo table by Tomita Kazuhiko. The chair on the left and in the background is called Smock, designed by the mega prolific Patricia Urquiola. More fun, happy, colourful and cool stuff from Doshi Levien. Their sofa My Beautiful Backside is sheer genius!Share the love:FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailPinterest 6 Responses yellowtrace blog » A Little Trip to HUB Furniture Showroom in Sydney.: | Drakz Free Online Service February 23, 2010 […] more from the original source: yellowtrace blog » A Little Trip to HUB Furniture Showroom in Sydney.: Share and […] Reply Sheila February 24, 2010 Patricia Urquiola can do no wrong in my view – great post.
